Strategy, operations and digital transformation

Raffles Place, Singapore Since 2012

Decide at the table, prove it on the floor.

Since 2012, Vektor Partners has worked with manufacturers, retailers, logistics operators and financial services firms across Southeast Asia on strategy, operations and digital transformation. Every engagement starts by agreeing the three or four numbers we will track together.

We report what we measured, not what we promised.

These figures come from measurements we make with our clients' finance teams twelve months after each project closes.

02Service areas

Four areas, one way of measuring.

Most projects start in one area and grow into a second. The same team stays with you from start to finish.

We use data to settle where to grow, with which products and with what resources. Every number that reaches the board can be traced back to its source.

What we do

  • Growth and portfolio strategy
  • Market and competitor analysis
  • Commercial due diligence before acquisitions
  • Product and channel profitability
  • Three-year business plan and budget framework

Typical outputs

  • Board decision paper
  • Profitability map by product and channel
  • Roadmap and tracking measures

Duration 6-10 weeksTeam 3-4 consultants

03Case studies

Before and after, measured the same way.

We keep our clients' names confidential, not their numbers. Each case shows twelve months of the measures agreed at the start of the project.

05Our approach

Five steps, one scorecard.

The measures we agree in the first week stay the same until the end. At the close of each step we look at the same scorecard and decide the next step together.

  1. 01

    Diagnose

    2-3 weeks

We measure the real size of the problem on the floor, in the data and in conversations with your teams. This is where we agree the measures to track.

  2. 02

    Design

    3-4 weeks

We put the options on the table with their cost, risk and impact, and prioritise them with your leadership team.

  3. 03

    Pilot

    4-8 weeks

We test on one line, one group of stores or one warehouse, and compare the result against the baseline.

  4. 04

    Scale

    8-16 weeks

We take what works to other sites, train your internal team and track the measures every week.

  5. 05

    Handover

    Months 6 and 12

We hand over a way of working that your team owns, then measure the results again at six and twelve months.

06Leadership

The people who sell the work do the work.

Our partners spend at least one day a week on site on every project. The person across the table at your first meeting is the person who will lead the engagement.
