A short written test and a ten-minute conversation. For coding, we talk through your goals and what you have built so far.

I'm a complete beginner. Where do I start?
In languages, true beginners join A1. If you already know some, take the placement test and your instructor will confirm your level in a short chat at the trial class. Coding has no prerequisites: if you can use a computer, start with Web Foundations or Excel & SQL.
What happens if I miss a class?
Every class is recorded and the notes go up in the student portal that night. In-person students can also join that week's online group once as a guest.
Do you offer payment plans or refunds?
Any course can be split into three interest-free payments. You get a full refund, no questions asked, until the end of week one. After that we refund the remaining weeks on a prorated basis.
Do I get a certificate?
Students with 80% attendance who pass the final exam or complete the capstone receive an Atlas Academy certificate. We prepare you for DELE and Goethe exams; the exams themselves are held at official test centers.
How do the online classes work?
Live and interactive, cameras on, small groups. It is not a pre-recorded course. In coding classes we share screens and write code together.
Do I need to bring a laptop?
Our in-person coding rooms have computers, but we recommend bringing your own laptop. We set everything up together in the first class.
